- I have always had a passion for music and the voice. This along with the education and experience I have acquired has given me the desire to perform and teach this beautiful art form. I am currently an adjunct professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, but have maintained a private voice and piano studio on the side.
- A Brief History of my Musical Background:
I have completed the Masters program at the University of Southern California, where I studied under Elizabeth Hynes. Prior to USC I have also had the opportunity to study with several other instructors including Martha Antolik, Wolfgang Oeste, Robert Holden, and Clark Dugger. This variety in teaching instruction has enabled me to more thoroughly understand teaching methods and the proper delivery of instruction. I have also had the joy of instructing others in both private and class settings. I have found that my students both enjoy my training and grow in their vocal abilities.
Along with my teaching experiences, I have also had the opportunity to perform. I have performed several complete opera roles, numerous opera scenes, musical productions, degree recitals, and many recitals. The understanding gained from these performances has given my teaching ability an extra dimension.
- Feel free to use the links to learn more about my experience and for information on setting up voice or piano lessons. I have included both my resume and several of my students’ comments concerning my teaching ability.
- If you have any questions or would like to schedule a lesson, please call me at 501-658-9697.
